Paperbag Waist Shorts Worn 3 Ways

It may be approaching the middle of November here in Houston, yet cold weather still requires nothing more than the occasional light coat. And, let’s be honest, we live in the land of 9-month summers. Which means I’m not quite ready to hang up my shorts and tank tops and, instead, try to stretch their use a little longer. So without further ado, I would like to introduce my new favorite, obsessed-with piece of clothing, ASOS Paperbag Waist Shorts, along with 3 different ways to wear them this “winter” in Houston. Oh, and if my hair seems a little purple in places it’s because I got a little enthusiastic with my purple toner shampoo. Oh, the pains of being a platinum blonde 😉

PROFESSIONAL

First off is the professional look. Because the shorts are high-waisted and not overly short, they could easily work in a relaxed office environment. And paired with a blazer and some cute heels, this look can make it all the way to drinks and dancing after work.

CASUAL

The casual look may be my favorite, because it works with tanks, long sleeve shirts and even giant sweaters that you don’t tuck in and layer over the high waist. And the short length strikes a good balance of being cute, but also comfortable.

DISCO

This look is perfect for nights when I want to go out with a more conservative outfit, yet still feel sexy and have a lot of fun. You can wear this outfit with a variety of different tops, though I lean toward sparkly with the impending holidays. But the best/most functional part of this outfit is the thick boot heel, which means you can dance all night long before your feet start to hurt.
