Moving to New York in 2018!

You may have heard the news before hand, but now it’s official! LIL and I have bought two one-way tickets to New York and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ll be landing with Mr. Pickles and the Miz (Verdelle will be flying with my mom) shortly before Christmas day and are looking forward to a little bit of window shopping, finding the nearest/best Chinese joint for Christmas dinner and, otherwise, basking in all that New York has to offer.

Oh yeah, and dealing with my first winter EVER! Not to say I’ve never seen snow, gone skiing, etc., but I have never lived anywhere that it snows. Which means I’m currently in the process of buying overcoats, scarves that aren’t just for looks, hats that cover your ears and snow boots (YES, SNOW BOOTS). LIL has confidence though in my non-whinging stoicism and I’m always excited to experience new things. My only concern is how long it will take the pups to go to the bathroom when it’s snowing outside (like I don’t already hurry them and get impatient in balmy 73° Houston).

So wish me luck! I’ve got a giant list of things I want to do when I get there, but I’m mostly looking forward to exploring all of the boroughs, existing every day in foodie paradise and being able to get tipsy with my husband AT THE SAME TIME and ride home on the subway.
