Donate to Hurricane Harvey Victims

Whew! It’s been quite a week watching the flood waters creeping closer, donating every inch of extra bedding that we have and making meals for those without food. But it’s over and we’re still standing. The issue for Houston now is how we’re going to re-build and that’s going to take a lot longer than the four days we weathered Hurricane Harvey. While LIL and I were lucky enough to stay high and dry, many of our friends and co-workers experienced flood water in their homes many feet deep. Some don’t have flood insurance and some do, but even those may be waiting quite some time for payouts to help. So please, please donate where you can! I’ve compiled a list of five fashions companies that will be donating to the American Red Cross, local shelters and more when you purchase from them. So you can give away some dollars and look darn good doing it.

Houston-based jewelry brand, Golden Thread, will be donating 100 percent of proceeds from the purchase of the below necklace to local shelters in need of supplies for Harvey victims in Houston.
